Sathya Educare Competency Trust
A Journey of Impact
2016: A Vision Takes Root
Founded in 2016, Sathya Educare Competency Trust embarked on a mission to make a meaningful contribution to society through education. In its inaugural year, the Trust focused on securing regulatory approvals and learning from educational institutions and professionals. Partnering with Manju Shree School in Tumkur district, the Trust began its hands-on efforts to improve educational outcomes, particularly for students from less privileged backgrounds. By enhancing teacher capabilities and fostering student engagement, the Trust laid the foundation for a journey dedicated to educational excellence.

2017-2018: Expanding Horizons
The Trust expanded its reach by establishing preschools in the villages of Melanahalli and Muddenahalli in Chikkanayakanahalli taluk. This initiative not only provided quality early childhood education but also encouraged parents to enroll their children in government schools. The Trust’s commitment to teacher development continued with training programs that empowered educators in rural areas. Additionally, infrastructure projects like constructing a girls' toilet block in Muddenahalli Government School underscored the Trust’s holistic approach to education and community development.

2019-2020: Scaling Efforts and Evolving Focus
The Trust’s focus on teacher development extended to collaborations with Kendriya Vidyalaya schools and the Sri Sathya Sai Trust of Karnataka. By coaching students for national exams and developing a Learning Management System (LMS), the Trust broadened its impact. During this period, the Trust also evolved its mission to address emerging societal needs by introducing geriatric caregiver development as a key objective. This expansion marked a significant shift in the Trust’s additional focus, acknowledging the growing importance of elder care in society.
2020-2021: Adapting to Crisis and Supporting Elder Care
The COVID-19 pandemic posed significant challenges, but the Trust quickly adapted by shifting to online learning and providing humanitarian aid. Despite the disruptions, the Trust continued to support students, teachers, and marginalised communities. In line with its new focus, the Trust extended its efforts to elder care by providing caretakers and essential medical equipment, such as oxygen concentrators, to elderly care centres. This initiative highlighted the Trust’s commitment to addressing the needs of the elderly while continuing its educational mission.
